There is nothing more wonderful than enjoying new experiences, learning new skills and making new friendships on our travels and this knitting tour through Scotland and the Highlands ticks all those boxes! This charming tour has you visiting Edinburgh, Glasgow, The Scottish Highlands and Dundee. There will be three half day workshops on this tour where you will meet Emily from Tin Can Knits in Edinburgh, in Elgin enjoy a workshop on our April tour with Eribe and on the August and October tours a workshop with Sarah Berry of North Child. When in Fife take part in a workshop with Di Gilpin and her team, then follow with a visit Claddach farm which produces the finest Scottish wool from Scottish sheep, goats and Alpacas. Learn about ‘Waulking with Wool’ and Sanquhar Knitting. A treat is a visit to New Lanark Mill a famous world heritage site, and the village of Sanquhar best known for its unique Sanquhar knitting pattern. Of course no tour of Scotland is complete without a visit to Speyside Distillery to enjoy a whisky tasting in Scotland’s famous whisky producing area.
